The complex of buildings of HES-2 is a monument of industrial architecture and an object of cultural heritage of regional significance. HES-2 was built at the beginning of the 20th century as the Central Power Station of Moscow City Railways. Now the building is being converted into an art center under the leadership of Italian architect Renzo Piano. There will be space for concerts and theater performances, exhibition halls and workshops for artists, a library, bookstores, cafes and an audience for 350 seats.
