Since 2022, the agenda for the development of domestic tourism has acquired strategic importance and is for the first time considered in conjunction with the development of regions, cities and the country’s transport and logistics infrastructure. In the Address of the President of the Russian Federation, in addition to the traditional centers of attraction for tourists, the territories where modern hotel complexes will appear are named – these are the coasts of Baikal, the Caspian, the Baltic, the Azov, Black and Japanese Seas. According to the development plan, by 2030 the tourist flow should increase to 140 million people per year.
To implement these plans, it will be necessary to activate the construction, design, engineering and consulting companies that accompany the implementation of construction projects in the hotel industry. Russian contractors must be able to design, build, equip and manage hotel facilities of various classes and levels of complexity.
Selecting a contractor is an important stage in the implementation of a hotel project. “The construction of hotels is a complex technological process that requires the involvement of a general contractor with experience working specifically with hotel real estate. Materials and equipment must be selected taking into account the specifics of the implementation of such projects and the high requirements for the quality of construction: it is important that the hotel facility operates with minimal maintenance costs throughout its entire life cycle and payback period, which is at least 10 years for the hotel business . Therefore, attracting a contractor of the appropriate level is one of the key factors guaranteeing the economic efficiency of the hotel project,” says Srdjan Petrovic, President of Stroy Techno Engineering.
