On September 8, 2019, the annual international “Nur-sultan Marathon 2019” took place in the capital of Kazakhstan, which has been held for 10 years and is the largest sporting event in the city.
To participate in the mass race, citizens from 27 countries came to Nur Sultan, the total number of participants was more than 5 thousand people.
The organizers of the marathon designed the route to show the runners the main attractions of the city: the Palace of Peace and Accord, the Hazret Sultan Mosque, Baiterek, Nazarbayev University, and Astana Arena stadium.
We are proud that our colleague from STI company, Milan Ivanovich, the project manager of the Evalar Plant (Biysk), took part in the race! Milan successfully ran a distance of 42.2 km.
After the marathon, Milan shared his impressions with us: “Despite the difficulties in the race, my thoughts were only about the finish, I had to endure and I stood it! After the marathon, there was a lot of happiness and a sense of pride! I’ll definitely continue to participate in such marathons, I’m already looking at which I can participate in the future. ”
